A true Cape Canaveral local, Max Brophy has built a reputation rooted in hard work, integrity, and pride in his craft. With over 10 years of hands-on experience in marine construction, Max has done it all—dock builds, repairs, seawall restoration, boat lift installations, piling work, and full-scale demolitions. By age 22, he became the youngest crew lead in the history of Custom Docks, later serving as foreman and managing projects up and down Florida’s coastline.
Though his father didn’t teach him the trade, Max credits his strong work ethic and character to the values his dad instilled—principles he carries into every project. Kind-hearted and community-driven, Max is known for going the extra mile, not just for his clients, but for the people around him. He’s passionate about giving back, whether it’s helping a neighbor, mentoring young surfers, or lending a hand where it’s needed most.
Outside of Aqua Roots, Max brings that same energy to the surf and beyond. A former competitive surfer and national-level bowler as a teen, he now coaches local surfers and stays active with daily gym sessions. He’s also a former Cocoa Beach lifeguard, proud husband of five years, and dad to a spirited four-year-old daughter.
